This is more along the lines of a scene or script. scripting can have status of rules when certain actions or conditions are met. but this can also be done with scenes when scene x is active then scene ABC can be turned off for example. I hope I understood the question correctly

I would do this with Scripting then have it all work from the device without scenes or actions. It just a matter of setting a variable and the condition it needs to have met to do what it needs. I have not done something like this so I am not sure where I should start

I did this for a old project years ago I attached an Alarm similar to this onto an Arduino with a relay and a 12V DC power source, When the situation met the rules I wanted it activated the relay and the siren went on. Luckily for us all Shelly has the shelly 1 that does this very thing. all that's needed is to turn on the siren. Im sure there are other units that work the same

glad that did the trick. Yes the motor has its own switches but the shelly / Software needs to know the limits to the roller
