  1. I am new here and my time is precious, so with all the respect, please do confirm: is this an official Shelly forum with active customer support? or just a place where end-users help other end-users, hence the "community help itself" under passive oversight of some representative from Shelly? As a customer seeking help/support, should I use: this forum direct line at https://support.shelly.cloud/en/support/tickets/new?ticket_form=ask_a_question or https://smarthome-forum.eu/forum/ (as that forum over there feels like more active/non-dead) Thank you!
  2. simple scenario: thermostat SHELLY H&T PLUS GEN3 to turn ON (upon temperature drop) SHELLY SMART PLUG PLUS S GEN2 using SHELLY APP question: what is the most efficient way to achieve this? (considering the batteries of H&T - as I read somewhere that most efficient is to setup RPC url, and worst is to have it CLOUDed as it will half the life of the batteries). the simple scenario can be achieved with any of these triggers: ACTIONS of H&T thermostat ACTIONS of Smart Plug SCENES THERMOSTATS the only trigger where I can input RPC URL is ACTIONS so does it mean: ACTIONS is the best way? if so, which one: ACTIONS of H&T thermostat to enable Smart Plug? or ACTIONS of Smart Plug to check H&T status and turn on itself? or both ACTIONS from above are equal? SCENES and THERMOSTATS do not use RPC so they are not efficient? or they do use RPC, but internally? both? only one of them? which one? or all 4 above triggers are equal in terms of efficiency and reliability? eg. it does not matter which trigger is used as they are all the same thing, only called different to confuse the user? thank you in advance for a quick and detailed answer!
  3. hope you don't mind if I answer this, as it looks like this whole forum is dead... answer: no H&T Gen 3 has only one single button (that is located stupidly under the battery cover, so the first thing you need to do after the purchase is to drill a hole through the cover to reach the button - trust me) and has only 3 functions: pressing it will either activate or deactivate setup (based on the previous state, so it's just ON>OFF>ON>OFF>ON...) holding it for 5 seconds (after you activate setup mode) will enable AP network holding it for 10 seconds (after you activate setup mode) will factory reset the device what you seek can be achieved only within (APP, WEB or IP) interface (unless you buy a device called Shelly Button) where you can set up ACTIONS, SCHEDULES, THERMOSTATS, SCENES (no difference, only minor setting options and bugs here and there just to confuse the user) or SCRIPTS (if you are on that level) then, after you set it up, you can press "the button" in the APP on your smartphone
  4. @Olsche respectfully, that is not what I asked. I know the IP interface... it is very nice design wise, and it has settings that web / app interface purposely lack. However, there are things which can't be set up with IP interface like Scenes, Groups, Thermostats, Wallpapers, Icons, Rooms. etc. All of it can be set up via APP or WEB interface, but they are not the same thing! Local Wi-Fi Network Control does NOT work in WEB interface when enabled: Therefore, whatever device has disabled CLOUD it can't be managed with WEB interface unless CLOUD is enabled for that device. But in mobile APP interface, such a device can be managed even with CLOUD off just fine. The same device when viewed in WEB shows Device is offline, but in APP is online and manageable locally.
  5. is there a way (I'm new to this) we could access the WEB (browser version) interface without internet (cloud) in a way as the mobile app (eg. localy)? for example: I have a smart plug with setting cloud off and I want to add schedule -> with mobile app I can access it locally as the wifi settings are set up and I am also on that wifi with web version https://control.shelly.cloud my plug always shows Device is offline even if I am also on that wifi so, the question is if it is possible to by-pass cloud via browser interface same as it is possible with mobile app ??
  6. This morning I bought two packs of 5 Shelly Plus Plug S (Black) v2 type F devices and updated the firmware to stable version 1.2.3 (for all 10 of them) An hour ago I just noticed that new stable version 1.3.0 was released, so I set up 5 plugs and updated all 10 plugs on version 20240425-141453/1.3.0-ga3fdd (if needed my web build ID is: 240425094011-02c46958-HEAD) Now I tried to finish off those 5 remaining plugs and immediately noticed I am denied to set RPC over UDP (this worked alright on previous firmware version) and whatever value I plug in I receive this error message: "Enter a value corresponding to the required format". As example in the field suggests the format should be 192.168.0.1:1111 Moreover, that first set of 5 plugs that I set up, when I try to change the valid value to some new value I get the same error again! In summary, RPC over UDP is broken in the latest firmware. Did the format change? If yes, what is the new format? If not, what are my options? Where can I download previous firmware to roll back? Any guidance much appreciated.
