AnthonyB
I have a DW2 that was working perfectly for many months. Out of the blue, the door open status stopped updating. Every other part is working fine - temp and lux sensors, joining WiFi network, etc. I've rebooted and replaced batteries (using non-rechargeable Panasonic batteries). Batteries are reporting as at 100%. My device is on firmware 20230913-112843/v1.14.0-gcb84623 I've taken the device off the doorway to try different things, and ensure that even with the magnetic sensor sitting on the DW2 main unit, it is still not reporting a 'closed' status. I'm yet to try a factory reset, but beyond this, are there any other suggestions? Quote Translate Revert translation? Members thgoebel
Possibly, the reed contact is broken?! This happens sometimes while changing batteries in a rather harsh manner… If a repair is planned, I suggest encapsulated contacts which are more sturdy: https://www.smarthome-forum.eu/thread/18810-robusterer-magnetkontakt-für-shelly-d-w2/ Edited July 22 by thgoebel 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? Heinz
Check the reed contact to make sure that's not broken and then also look at the device logs. good to know what the device is and is not doing.
