Red Switch in Electrical Diagrams?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

does someone know what the meaning of the red switch in the example diagrams for the shelly plus 2pm is?

I understand the "push button" symbol, the "open switch" symbol, but "red open switch" eludes me a little.

Thanks a lot, that's very helpful.

I have a shutter switch with two mechanical rocker switches which cannot be both in the "closed" position a the same time (mechanically blocked), meaning the up rocker switch must be reopened first before the "down" rocker switch can be closed. This in turns means I have no safety switch, only two "normal"/black switches, correct?

Just prepping my wiring, hence the questions.
