Shelly no longer available after a short time

Hello,

I have the problem with two Shelly 2.5 that they are no longer accessible after a short time. At first I thought it was due to the WLAN.  However, I have now reset one Shelly to the factory settings.
The Shelly's WLAN appears briefly. As soon as I connect to it, I can call up the page once. Then the WLAN disappears again and it no longer responds. I have the firmware 20230913-112234/v1.14.0-gcb84623.
When I disconnect it from the power supply and reconnect it, the WLAN appears again for a few seconds.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Kind regards

Claudio

  • Shelly

Since when have the Shelly 2.5 been in operation? It could be related to the well-known capacitor problem.

Hi there,

I am having a similar problem with some Shelly 2.5 that have been operating for about two years.

Before I open a new thread or support ticket - is there any public information (and solution) to this known issue?

Thank you and best regards

I authored a post recently for a Shelly 1 PM which seems to have similar issues to the 2.5 in that the low voltage (16v) electrolytic capacitor is drying out.  This leads to instability and dropping off the WiFi network.
