It’s probably just me not knowing anything. I can’t even find the Discord channel for Shelly devices..

I’ve provided power to my Shelly 1 device and I thought that would bring up the Shelly ‘portal’ not that I can remember the name of the SSID of the Shelly portal nor remember the password, also I can’t find it in the instructions (my eyesight isn’t that great, and having them in a half-a-dozen languages in writing so small, it’s almost like reading microfilm) hasn’t helped.

This is how I’ve wired my Shelly 1 Gen 3. Please explain what I’m doing wrong and why I can’t see a web portal or ssid.

Many thanks 🙏

In fact, you didn’t give power to the device: You wired mains voltage to pins I and O! This would have produced a very short circuit if you had managed to switch the internal relay…

Please have a look at the Shelly knowledge base:

https://kb.shelly.cloud/knowledge-base/shelly-plus-1

You‘ll find there documentation for each Shelly device…

Thank you for your reply.

I have a 32v dc wire that I would like to make a switched live. I thought a simple relay would do. And I have a 240v ac power supply to provide the voltage to the Shelly 1 so it can do it’s thing. Is there anyone who can provide an answer rather than say what I have done is wrong? I do appreciate your time but an actual solution would be really helpful.
