Hi,

I'm blown away (not literally) by how easy it was to setup the Shelly P1M to act as a wifi relay to my Boiler.

Can I house the Shelly in a standalone light switch box and use the box's switch to turn the relay on if the wifi goes down (SW + L)?

Standalone is my non-technical way of saying there is no external wiring going into the switch.

Thanks,

p0d

If from boiler arrive neutral, live and "signal" it means that it expect that signal would be closed to neutral or live to start the boiler, without  having to carry large currents.
So you should look at the instructions of it and see which is the side that enable the boiler.
In this case a 1PM could be not suitable, or at least be an overkill, since a 1 or 1mini or even an UNI would do the job better.
So in this case expect to have a switch and a button, a switch that bypass the shelly in case the failure is in the shelly, and a button to toggle it [but enabling to work when connection come back] connected the the switch input of shelly and Neutral

but first read the instructions of boiler, that if three wires arrive from the boiler are there just to supply a thermostat that will reply through the third cable
