harryWES Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Hi there, As newby using Shelly devices only recently, I have understood that the Shelly Plus Uni can be used as pulse counter. My DDS353 DIN rail mounted kWh meter shows the total count in LCD digids but offers also a 80 ns pulse output. Can the Plus Uni be used to count the pulses from this connection? Simply by direct connection of the two pins to the metr connector? Is there a scene available to manipulate/calculate this total and show the result in the Shelly and/or Homey app? Thank for your advise! Regards, Harry Westerbeek Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish

harryWES Posted November 27 Author Posted November 27 Hello Layer0, Thanks for your concern and effort to help me out. My KWS device has a two threads connection. The KWS was correct working with a ESP8266 pcb in a HA platform. Want to switch over to Homey since it is much easier to work with. Do you have an idea how to connect the two threads to the pins 6,7,8? And is 5 VDC sufficient to feed the Shelly for this application? Regards, Harry Quote Translate Revert translation? Layer0 Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) yes, use 5 volts for the shelly plus uni you are sure your kwh meter sends optical pulses per W or KWH ?! in this case you can use a KY-022 sensor the way to wire it, will be the same as in the above mentioned picture Edited November 29 by Layer0 Quote Translate Revert translation?
