HenrikC Posted November 21 Posted November 21 (edited) Hi, my TRV are controlled by an external thermostat, and when steady quite accurate….however I consider they are relatively slow to react to changes, and overshoot dramatically…up to 1 degree C over the setpoint. They are mechanically calibrated and the temperature sensors are precise. The valves are free and not stuck or require extra power to open. Accelerated heating is off. Firmware is 2.2.4 (the lates as of today). Do TRVs learn from their mistakes over time? Is there a way to control the maximum opening, i.e. reduce the max opening of the valve? They seem to be quite crude in their regulation, and I am looking to improve the performance. Thanks for reading! HenrikC Posted November 24 Author Posted November 24 I have now changed to Tado trvs v3, and their regulation is much more gentle. With district heating, cooling (low temp return) is king, and Tado provides that and a steady room temperature…I am not impressed with the performance of the Shelly TRVs…..please advice me if I can improve the Shellies!!
