Iceman11 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Hello, My Shelly Plug S Gen3 can't be updated from firmware version 1.2.3 (the firmware it was shipped with). It is connected to cloud shelly-api-eu.shelly.cloud:6022/jrpc but no new firmware is available when checking via the web interface of the device. Since the device has the possibility to manually update it via a local file, do you know from where I can download the firmware? According to the documentation version 1.3.3 is mandatory before installing 1.4. Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Members thgoebel Posted November 18 Members Posted November 18 Obviously there is actually no higher firmware version for Shelly plugS Gen3 existing. My device waits for new firmware too - especially for the implementation of direct coupling of BLE devices… Quote Translate Revert translation? Iceman11 Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 Thank you for your answer. I was looking for the same functionality and according to a youtube video, a firmware greater than 1.3 was needed. Just find it strange that appliances from the same generation are with different firmware versions and was thinking there is something wrong with the updates. Quote Translate Revert translation? Members thgoebel Posted November 19 Members Posted November 19 Most likely this is caused by the MATTER implementation. First device is the Shelly PlugS Gen3… Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Gusztav Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) Hi, I contacted Shelly support in this matter, and here is their final answer: "We have contacted our developers regarding your inquiry. They informed us that on the Shelly Plug S Gen3, the scripting service is currently limited due to the Matter protocol. However, in the upcoming firmware version 1.5.0, it will be possible to disable Matter and restore script memory. Unfortunately, there is no direct support for the 1.3 firmware you mentioned on the Plug S Gen3. We are aware that this is an inconvenience, but the new firmware will improve the situation with scripting and Bluetooth integration."
