Revinor Posted November 18 Posted November 18 I have connected 5m 24V LED RGB strip. It works perfectly, until I try to put brightness to 100% - shelly then starts restarting over and over. I thought it is amperage, but when I'm running it at 96% brightness, Shelly reports 69.2W, 24.5V, 2.824A. Given it is total amperage, not per-channel, it should be well inside a safe range (less than 1A per channel). It is also not overheating (checked by finger). Threshold seems to be 97% - when I try to do that, device resets (and then I must stuggle to get it back, as it tries to recover to previously set brightness on startup, only to fail again). If I set color to something else than pure white, everything works even on 100% brightness. Does it sound familiar? Alternatively, is there a way to limit max brightness, so long press won't reach it when increasing brightness? Quote Translate Revert translation? Revinor Posted November 20 Author Posted November 20 Problem solved. Shelly is all right, my power adapter was rated for only 2A (which I haven't noticed) and had a hard cutoff around amperage in question (and got uncomfortably warm). Switching it to 4A one solves the issue. Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Heinz Posted November 24 Posted November 24 can you post the adapter you currently using ? Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Revinor Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 Please note that this is testing phase only - for checking how things work. In real installation my eletrician will use some proper transformer for embedded use cases. https://www.senetic.co.uk/product/EX.14046 1 Quote Translate Revert translation?
