Matt D Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Hey all, Somewhere in the past few months my shelly plug UK devices appear to have stopped responding to ARP requests. So this means that they are online and available to be used in the app and via cloud integrations etc, but if I tried to load up their web UIs or do WebSockets integration directly on the local LAN by using their IP address, I would get "DESTINATION UNREACHABLE". I am on FW version 1.4.4 Just to confirm, they were fully associated with my wifi, they had acquired an IP address, but were not responding to ARP requests from other devices on the network. This means that other devices were unable to obtain the MAC address for the devices, and so obviously after that ethernet does not work since there is no MAC address to use. Output from `arp - a` would show entries such as `(192.168.1.xxx) at <incomplete> on wlan 0`. The work around for me was to configure my wifi to proxy ARP requests and manually reboot each device, and this meant that my wifi infrastructure was able to proxy the ARP requests on behalf of the devices, and then I could once again connect to their web UIs & web sockets. While I have a workaround, this feels like a bug? Is it a known issue? I was unable to find any details around this apart from "try rebooting your router" which was obviously nonsense in this case. Cheers! Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
