adrimi77 Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I can currently use the WallDisplay as a “display” and “volume control” of the music currently playing for my Sonos Beam on an external Sonos player. But not as a standalone Sonos player. When choosing, e.g. Favorites, an error message appears. Sometimes I have to re-establish the connection to my Sonos Beam -> Reset Sonos Beam. How can I set the WallDisplay to be a Sonos player and set the sound? Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
adrimi77 Posted November 17 Author Posted November 17 After I restarted the WallDisplay, this message appears when I select Sonos. Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
adrimi77 Posted November 17 Author Posted November 17 An additional restart of the Sonos Beam helped... Then I was able to select the music in the favorites via the WallDisplay... --> Cool 🙂 But when I play a local mp3 file, it only plays over the internal speaker, after them I can't select the Sonos favorites 😞 The same pictures like above. Dimitar Buckoff Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Hi, and thanks for the report. For the Wall Display to control your Sonos successfully, it must detect it on the network. For this, the Sonos must actively broadcast its presence via UPnP. Please make sure your Beam is updated to the latest firmware. The "Workout Remix failed to load" message means that the Sonos could not load the radio station from the Internet. Please check that the Beam AND the Wall Display have sufficient WiFi coverage. The restart of the Beam helping means that it connected to the WiFi successfully. "No Sonos players online" on the Wall Display means that it didn't discover your Beam on the network. Currently local mp3 files can not be played on an external Sonos (WiP). In the next Wall Display update the Sonos implementation will occupy its own tile and will be removed from the Media Library tile. 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? adrimi77 Posted November 17 Author Posted November 17 And again, is there a way to use the Shelly WallDisplay as an "active" Sonos player? To send local *.mp3 files, local radio streams to "Sonos", or select favorites on the Sonos account without restarting the Sonos speaker? Quote Translate Revert translation? The others are work in progress. Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
kleinerAst Posted November 24 Posted November 24 I can use Sonos via our Wall Displays but they do not show all of the players we have in our Sonos Network. Esp. not the ones, that are connected like the TV Setup (Arc, Sub and 2x Era 300) - refreshing doesn't help. Is this a known issue? Quote Translate Revert translation?
