sandstheman Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Just recently installed a Dimmer 2 into my office light switch and it worked fine for a few days, setup a home assistant integration which was working well but then today having issues. When the dimmer2 is showing as being off in the shelly app my lights are still on (at what looks like 30% brightness) If i press the button in the app to turn the lights on they brighten to what looks like 100% start to flicker and then the app shows that status as being off. Running calibrations and the lights do all sorts of flicker before settling to an off state at again 30% brightness. I've tried powering the module off but as soon as it has power the lights again are back to 30% and flickering, even when i've set the default to be "Off" once power is resumed to the module. Tried factory reset which appears to not do anything other than remove the module from the app and drop it off the wifi - doesn't appear to reset any settings. After i re-add the module i see the exact same symptoms again. Is there a sure fire way to hard reset the module? Doing it from the app, or pressing the button on the pack and turning the power back on don't appear to make any difference, or do i just have a bad one and should start looking for a replacement? Members thgoebel Posted November 11 Members Posted November 11 Most likely, one of the MOSFET transistors used for dimming is faulty. Is the device in the guarantee period? If so, please file a claim with your distributor. Otherwise, I could offer a repaired Shelly Dimmer 2 as substitute: https://www.smarthome-forum.eu/thread/26582-shelly-dimmer2-repariert-abzugeben/ 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? Hoping to throw my lightwaverf switches in the bin and replace them with shelly modules :-) Quote Translate Revert translation?
