Breizad Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I use only one Shelly Wave 1 device but at hundreds of kms from my home. I am connected thru Internet and a box. Of course I have inserted a hub to communicated from the box to the Shelly Wave 1. The simplest and cheapest hub I have found on the market is the HA102 from Schwaiger. But, this hub has been designed to manage a home with many devices and using it for managing only one device is a waste of time and leads to a too complex handling. Do you know a SIMPLE way to manage a one-contact system ? An other kind of hub or somethin very easy to setup ? Since I use 12 V lead batteries I need to save energy so I cannot use a Wi-Fi device such as Shelly Plus 1. Thank you for your help Breizad Quote Translate Revert translation? wooly Posted November 4 Posted November 4 the gateway is the same whether it has to connect one or tens of devices, since normally tehse transmit one at a time. Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Breizad Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 Thank you wooly for your answer. In my case my issue is the complexity of the iconfiguration and the complexity of the user interface. Shelly Shelly Wave help Posted November 5 Shelly Posted November 5 Hi Breizad, We have an article on how to choose a gateway on our support portal 😉 The best choice would be Home Assistant about 130 EUR for the hardware Raspberry Pi and the Z-Wave USB stick, but since you seek a simpler solution you may choose the Fibaro HC 3 Lite this comes around 120 EUR and with the Z-wave engine 3 you will have all the features that you will need. Another choice would be the SmartThings that you can get it for about 130 EUR. But as mentioned in the article you will miss the OTA feature. But that have a solution, but you will still need a Z-Wave USB stick. 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Breizad Posted November 6 Author Posted November 6 Hi Shelly Wave help Thank you for your answer. However, 120 € is very expensive if you compare to 28 € for the HA102. I have ordered it. I will see how it works... 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Shelly Shelly Wave help Posted November 6 Shelly Posted November 6 We didn't test that gateway, we test the predecessor the HA101 version and did integrate the devices (old Qubino devices) correctly and the main functions of the devices was working. Hope you find it useful 👍 After you test it can you share your experience with the gateway in this post in order that others may have knowledge of that thanks 🙂 1 Quote Translate Revert translation?
