HeavyElectricity Posted November 1 Posted November 1 (edited) Hi, I was thinking of including an additional device on the "switch circuit" part of a Shelly 1PM mini, so that the physical switch would still control this device, but the 1PM would still be able to detect the switch state and control another separate device. Is this possible? Or is the "switch circuit" not 240V AC? Thanks. Edited November 1 by HeavyElectricity Quote Translate Revert translation? HeavyElectricity Posted November 1 Author Posted November 1 Yes, sorry for my poor explanation, hopefully this helps a bit more: Blue device - controlled by physical switch only Red device - controlled by 1PM Quote Translate Revert translation? Members thgoebel Posted November 1 Members Posted November 1 Thanks for the clarification! Your circuit diagram will not work, cause pin SW will conduct very low current only. The blue lamp will not glow… Please have a look at this sketch: This diagram shows your blue lamp. The red lamp is not shown - it may be connected to Shelly output (pin O in most cases an neutral. If you omit the resistor R, SW input is always activated because it reacts with both live and/or neutral potential. Thus, the resistor is essential: With a value from 500kΩ to 1MΩ it prohibits an activation with live potential. Hence, with manual switch in on state (blue lamp is glowing), the input is deactivated. With manual switch in off state, SW input is activated by neutral potential. This inverted logic may be amended by configuration of „Reverse Input“ with the Shelly. Another, more orthodox solution would be to use an extra relay: I think this is self-explanatory… 1 Quote Translate Revert translation?
