Connecting two pumps to work in sync with 1pm plus and plug s

Hello,

I have a question about connecting two devices so they operate in sync.

Here’s the situation: I have a heat pump that controls a pump (green) for a buffer tank. The pump is powered by three wires: live, neutral, and ground.

When the thermostat sends a signal to the heat pump, it powers the pump. So only then there is power on the wires towards the pump.

In another part of the house, there’s a floor heating system with a pump (gray) that should only run when the pump at the buffer tank is also running.

I’ve purchased a Shelly 1PM Plus and a Plug S for the pump at the floor heating system (which is plug-connected).

Now, I’m looking for a solution to use the three wires (which are only powered when the heat pump activates it) to connect the Shelly 1PM. A setup that would allow me to set up a scene or control that when the green pump goes on the Plug S automatically also goes on.

I tried several configurations yesterday, but I can’t get it to work so that when the Shelly 1PM detects power, it sends a signal to the plug to activate the gray pump.

I’m struggling to set it up to measure the power state. It detects power only when the pump is on, but I still can’t create a working setup using the scene or input/output state as a condition to ensure the Plug S activates when the pump is on.

I hope this explanation is clear, and I’d appreciate any help in solving this.

Best regards,
Shaan
