The Shelly plus Dimmer 0-10V needs an auxiliary voltage source (e.g. 10V DC). And it’s output will be a modulated PWM signal, not a steady DC voltage! If you would need DC output, you should choose a Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V Gen3.

Alternatively, you may add a Shelly Add-On plus and wire as following:

I‘m 100% sure that the output of the Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V Gen3 is DC. You may measure it…

For information about Add-On plus have a look at the knowledge base:

https://kb.shelly.cloud/knowledge-base/shelly-plus-add-on

But be aware: Also with the Add-On the output will be PWM, not steady DC voltage!

Maybe i can swap it, i ordered at amazon.de

Sorry, but I would like to know where you can order Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V Gen3?

  • I've been waiting for around 2 months for the Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V Gen3 to be available again.

The alternative to the Shelly Pro Dimmer 0/1-10V PM is around 3 times more expensive than Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V Gen3 at € 60.-  and, above all, too big to fit in a switch box.

If you have a delivery option, I would be happy to receive a tip from you.

Did you order the gen3 ?

You can get it here:

Its only 20 euro

Thats the correct one then?

We‘re talking of a Shelly plus 0-10V Dimmer, right? If so, you will not measure any voltage at the two terminals +/- 0-10V SELV. The required voltage must be delivered by the LED driver (the device is intended to dim suitable LED drivers).

Don‘t know much about your fireplace. Mine is powered with firewood. No electric appliances…

If i power on the shelly, and i dont connect anything to the output side of it... will i be able to measure 0-10v output on that side with multimeter?

I'm planning to connect it to my fireplace, but theres no leddriver between the output side and the fireplace...

No this questions is about the new one proposed here... https://azerty.nl/product/shelly-dimmer-0-1-10v-pm-gen3-schakelaar/8714578

Cause shelly support says: it will output voltage, if it has a driver. If it doesn't, then no voltage will be output at all.

So for me the Shelly plus 0-10V Dimmer is useless, i will probably sell it to my friend but he's not sure it will work either..

Will the Shelly plus 0-10V Dimmer work with this:

Thanks for this correction. The Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V Gen3 delivers a DC voltage between 0 and 10V at its terminals +/- 0-10V. But this voltage cannot drive a load: Maximum current is 35mA only! Thus, this voltage is for control purposes only.

Sorry for not opening unknown files! Please attach the picture here.

Ok then i think it will work for me with The Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V

I adjusted the picture above

The picture above shows a simple power supply without any means for dimming. Assume it is a supply for a notebook. Your Shelly plus 0-10V Dimmer will not work with this device.

BTW: It would be brilliant to learn about your aim…

My friend has a switch leading to this power supply, after the power supply theres a led strip

So io guess it wont work
