Tom001
Has anyone experienced running a Shelly device in a waterproof IP68 enclosure outdoors? I’m considering using a Shelly device in an IP68-rated enclosure for outdoor use. Since the enclosure should be watertight, no moisture should enter inside. I also plan to keep the enclosure out of direct sunlight for additional protection. Does anyone have experience with this setup? Any concerns or tips for this kind of application? Would love to hear your thoughts! Let me know if you’d like to make any adjustments! Quote Translate Revert translation? Shelly Olsche Posted October 23 Shelly Share Posted October 23 I think there will only be problems if the ambient temperature falls drastically below the respective specification. I have had some Shellys running outside but protected from moisture for years without any problems 1 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? I think this can be ruled out as a problem if the Shelly is in operation… (Shelly will warm its enclosure anyway) Did you use it in a sealed enclosure? Do you know when moisture could start forming inside the enclosure? Edited October 23 by Tom001 Quote Translate Revert translation?
