Shelly device keeps connecting/disconnecting continuously from cloud

Hi all,

first time shelly user. I just bought a "shelly plus 1" to control a garage door.

Device works as intended (opening/closing door, making changes in settings) when controlled by windows pc via WiFi AP but when I want to control the device via the shelly app, the device keeps connecting/disconnecting from the cloud. For the latter reason I can't control the device from my smartphone (iphone), see uploaded video.

I also tried:

- connect the "shelly plus 1" to an other network (using tethering from my smartphone) -> noting changed.

- reset the "shelly plus 1" (long press of the button on the back) two times -> noting changed.

 

Any advice? Is the device defective?

Set up of the device via shelly app worked without any problems.

I just noticed that I have the same issue when trying to control the device via "control.shelly.cloud", so not the WiFi AP.
