Msanzm Posted September 14 Share Posted September 14 Hello, I've successfully installed 4 Shelly 2PMs for my roller shutters without any issues in the past. Recently, I purchased more Shelly 2PMs to automate the shutters in my living room. However, I'm encountering a problem: when I use the device in "switch" mode, everything works perfectly. But as soon as I change it to "cover" mode, the device goes offline, never reconnects and does not change to "cover" mode. Has anyone experienced something similar or know what might be causing this? Ruiz Posted September 14 Share Posted September 14 I just came to say I am having the exact same problem. After selecting cover it goes offline never to return again. I've been struggling with it since yesterday and thought the 2PM was broken, as 5 others I connected a few days ago are working fine. Thanks for this thread. Sometimes it worked on the first try, but other times I had to delete and reconnect it several times. It would be great if Shelly could address this in a future firmware update. ConchaUser Posted September 15 Share Posted September 15 Hi Msanzm I don't think that it is firmware related because I've successfully added PM2 last week with latest firmware in cover mode. With the others it was sometimes necessary to switch back and forth the cover mode to get the 2nd button for the 2nd switch removed in the GUI. I was also able to resolve the issue with 1 of 2 but I think it was by accident after several tries. I guess it is cloud related. Quote Translate Revert translation? Last week the configration was no problem. Think this is a problem on server side. This is a platform issue as it happens both on web UI and Android app. Changing it back to switch mode on the device web server brings the device back online to the cloud UI. It was working fine with FW 1.0.7 than i dit an update to 1.4.2 (first 1.3.3) after that no 2PM are showing or are possible to connecting any more in the the Openhab binding ? I see many problems with FW 1.4.2 For OpenHab and also for Home Assistent Many people asking for help ! I have post this many many times in many forums also on Facebook Dutch and English Till now no help or an answer what to do ? I have 1 > 2PM with version 1.0.7 and stil works fine also when i delete this one, it comes directly back in the binding so that works fine.
