Having both AP mode and wifi mode ?

Is there a way to have both the wifi mode and the AP mode at the same time ?

I am using wifi mode as the "normal" mode, ie manage the Shelly 1PM using shelly cloud

But I would like to also have the AP mode running , as a backup in case my home wifi is gone (eg internal box , (which is my wifi access point) needs repair, swap).

I tried with the 1PM, but from what I can see, enabling AP disable wifi and vice versa.

Would a 1PM plus allows this ?

Yes, indeed! Shellies of generation 2 and 3 allow to enable both Wifi modes.

But if you do use them that way, be sure to set a password for the AP mode, otherwise everyone looking for a shelly AP can connect to and control your shelly device

yes. The plus range are "Gen 2"
