JustFutsin
Just received a couple new wall displays and one of them is not adding to my cloud properly: did the "mandatory fw update" right out the package and after that it keeps showing a code to input into my app (there is nowhere to input this?) and also it's continually dropping offline. My cloud shows the display but "not connected" most of the time. Tried all resets and factory reboots to no avail, it still powers up with stored wifi info and same code display to input into app. How do I HARD RESET this tnull out everything? Shelly Olsche Posted September 1 Shelly Share Posted September 1 The input mask for the authentication code should appear in the main menu of the device in the app. You can also force a factory reset by deleting the display from the app. Was the integration into your network done with a static IP or via DHCP? DHCP is required for the wall display
JustFutsin
Deleting the device from the phone app doesn't do any factory reset, it will boot up with previous ip address which is strange cause I never even saw a way to set it static? Shelly Olsche Posted September 1 Shelly Share Posted September 1 You're right, the option to assign a static IP has in the meantime been jremoved. Please try a factory reset when booting: When booting and you see "Loading. Please wait..." under the "Shelly Wall Display" logo, you have 2 seconds to touch on the logo 5 times. Then the Factory Reset dialogs will appear. It's probably necessary to briefly disconnect the power supply for a full reboot.

Please be patient until the error is fixed

shellisti
I had same problem with factory reset not working few months ago, did all the resets and cache wipes support told me to do but nothing worked. Wifi credentials were always restored after reboot. Then after updating to firmware 1.2.15 the factory reset worked, wifi credentials were also deleted. Was there a fix for this bug in that version, don't know because there seems to be no changelog for Wall Display firmwares. But maybe this is the same bug again? I thought firmware 1.2.15 fixed that because after updating reset worked at least once (wifi credentials was also deleted, even after reboot), but maybe that was just a coincidence or the bug has appeared again. marcog
Boa noite, Também estou com o mesmo problema. Já fiz diversos resets e nada. Por vezes está online mas quando perde a rede simplesmente já não volta a se conectar. Pena... para um equipamento que não é barato.
