Add external module

Hi all,

I want control my 2700w water boiler (On/Off) and have : the power consumption and the temperature (using a Dalas probe).
I'm from Belgium : 240v - Power Plug at 20A wit 2.5mm2 cable.

First, I've put a simple Shelly Plug (16A) and I worked for month. But as I want the temperature...
I've tried with a Shelly 1PM + Shelly Plus Add-On protected by a 16A braker. It worked but the Shelly raised on temperature over 95C and auto-disconnect.

So I plan to replace the 1PM with a Pro EM50 and connect the output to an external 20A relay to support the load and extra protection.

My problem/question : how can I use my Dalas Probe ? The Pro EM seems have an GPIO port same as the 1PM on the side.
Is plan by Shelly to create a "Add-On" for ? (It will be marvelous).

Regards,

Great idea 👏  Pls. submit your idea for new devices or features here:

The connector on the PRO EM-50 looks identical to the connector on the PRO 3EM to me. For the Pro 3EM exists a relay add-on which is connected there:

However, this add-on is not mentioned for the EM-50

The Shelly pro 3EM Add-On is working with Shelly pro EM-50  and firmware 1.4.0 and later versions:

(Note: Measured date is not available cause the Shelly was supplied with 24V DC for test only.)

Actions are available with and for the add-on switch:

Cool, good to know @thgoebel

Okay, this topic misses the original point somewhat. The Plus add-on has completely different areas of application than the Relay add-on, but the interface will probably be the same. It is therefore feasible that Shelly could also offer a measurement add-on for the Pro devices,

The pins are provided at the host „pro“-series device. An add-on, suitable for one-wire-bus components and/or analog/digital inputs, is more or less an issue of form factor and firmware. The available Shelly add-on plus could be a base for such a development.

Hi,

And btw, as the Pro50Em has already an I/O output the Pro 3PM is less usefull...
The goal is to have a Addon to connect probes like (DHT22, DS18B20, PIR, ...) as @thgoebel said.
