[Seeking Advice] Shelly Dimmer 2 - Explodes the first time I try to switch or dim

I'm having some trouble with my Shelly Dimmer 2 where it breaks the first time I try to use it. I know I must be doing something wrong but I'm not sure what. My reddit post has all the details but I'm cross posting here in case anyone can help. I'm sure the mistake must be on my side or a fundamental incompatibility with what I'm trying to do. I appreciate your expertise in advance.

Connecting O to the Neutral will blow the Dimmer immediately. The O is the Output and must go to the lamp.
