elsdeniep
Dear forum, My Shelly i3 triggers this link with a long push of the momentary button: http://192.168.xxx.xxx/light/0?dim=cycle The long push has no result, however. What can be wrong with the code? I already tried other codes, and they work fine. For example: http://192.168.xxx.xxx/light/0?dim=down&step=90 Any suggestions are highly appreciated! Shelly Olsche Posted August 24 Shelly Share Posted August 24 Command for Cycle is no longer supported on Gen1 Dimmer2: https://shelly-api-docs.shelly.cloud/gen1/#shelly-dimmer-1-2-light-0
elsdeniep
Thanks @Olsche. Do you know an alternitive command that I can use for this dimmer with a momentary switch? Or is that impossible?
Shelly Olsche Posted August 24 Shelly Share Posted August 24 I don't know of any alternative command. One possibility would be to go back to the old firmware that cycle was still working with. I think it was version 1.8.4 You can use this tool to load the old firmware: http://archive.shelly-tools.de/
elsdeniep
Thank you once more for the quick reply @Olsche I am afraid I want to keep the latest firmware for security and stability. Can I achive what I want with another Shelly device, like the i4?
Shelly Olsche Posted August 24 Shelly Share Posted August 24 The problem is not with the i3 or i4, which only send the URL, it is due to the decision to remove the cycle command from the Dimmer2 firmware
