falkio
Hi, maybe this question is stupid but I want to read a simple button press with the Shelly Uni Plus. I have 12 VAC as power supply voltage. Now I have a switch/button that I want to read as a trigger for actions on other Shellys in my network. So this button is not connected to anything. Is it possible to read the button press or do I have to supply a voltage to the button and the use the Analog Input? But it looks like its not capable of reading VAC. Ideas? Thanks
Members thgoebel
Simply connect the ("dry") switch to Pin 7 (GND) and Pin 9 (IN-1) or Pin 10 (IN-2). No need for a separate voltage: The Shelly UNI plus delivers a voltage of approximately 3V DC at the above mentioned pins.

So by connecting IN to GND I have 3V voltage reading I can use to trigger events? Great that’s easy.
