Light sensor value

Hi!

I use the BLU Motion in a scene that reads the light value to turn on an exterior light.

But, as i can see the Sensor only obtains the light value after detects an movement. It's possible the Blu Montion to send (as the H&T sends the temperature) the light value in a certain time period?

Thank's

You can change the device mode to Beacon mode:

  • Beacon mode - the Device broadcasts the motion detection status, illuminance, and battery status every 30 seconds. You can enable the Beacon mode from the Device settings in the Shelly Smart Control application. For more details, visit the Shelly Smart Control guide.

But be aware of the power consumption in this mode:

The battery life may be significantly reduced when the Device is in Beacon mode.

It work's. I have been fuzzy because in the initial setup, the beacon mode appears with the "Enable beacon" button at blue, so i have imagined that the function is activated by default.

I also discovered the device at night at dark when the car headlights reaches the blu motion devices activates the motion scene... That's an bug right?

Motion detection in this device is via a PIR sensor (pyroelectric sensor). I do not know whether it is possible to trigger this sensor via car headlights.

But it true! I will try to make a record with my cell phone! The lights come on with nobody near, only needs the the car headlights reaches the sensor. Peraph's the light sensor became crazy with a rapid lux 0 to lux 900?!?!?!?

Don't worry, I believe what you say. I just don't have a reasonable explanation for this weird effect.

The light sensor receives a high amount of light on and off and becames crazy?!

Anyone can confirm that on their devices?

Headlights are emitting both visual light and infrared and ultraviolet light. The spectral distribution depends on the technology (LED or incandescent bulb). However, the infrared spectral part will affect the PIR sensor!

No, didn’t say it but wrote it… 🤓

OK, ok... This "problem" remains to me. The headlights in the street reaches my sensor and activates the light!!! Also as i can see, sometimes the sensors (i have 3!)

activate the lighting immediately when they detect movement, but other times they seem frozen!
