URos Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Dear Shelly, since you have Qubino-based Shutter that can do "Control the tilt position (angle) of the venetian blind slats", how about bringing that functionality to the non-Z-wave line of products? I have 1000+ EUR worth of Shelly gear in my house, many of them are 2PMs for venetian blinds. As a loyal customer (that have recommended your gear to countless people) I really feel let down by the lack of new functionality. 😭 I'm happy to help, if you guys need software engineering resources to get this done. bizzy Posted August 15 Posted August 15 I'm also interested why 2PM devices don't have tilt control available since it should be pretty simple to add it. Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Thotto Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Please add the tilt control!! It drives me crazy, that the Qubino-based Shutter has that option?! Why not implement to the 2PM??? Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Heinz Posted August 19 Posted August 19 I can find out what some information about this would take me some time though Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish

Why not implement to the 2PM??? I totally agree, I don't understand why they don't implement it natively. On Facebook's support page there are different implementation options, but no option has been implemented. Edited August 19 by Micasadomotica Quote Translate Revert translation? Heinz Posted August 20 Posted August 20 So from what I found out it is in the road map but Unfortunately no eta on when it's going to be released and on what version of the product. Yes, the Shelly Wave 2pm has that option but between the wave and the shutter, they are two separate products. This is all I am able to provide at this current time but yes it will be coming 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
u20p17 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Hello, i saw that the new shelly 2 pm gen3 ( https://www.shelly.com/en-ch/products/product-overview/shelly-2-pm-gen3) got the slat control feature. Will this feature also be available for 2pm plus devices? I have several of them and do not want to exchange all of them. Hardwarewise, it should work and i guess the software would also run on the older hrdware… Quote Translate Revert translation? u20p17 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 @Dimitar would be nice if you or somebody else from shelly would clarify if this feature will also come to the gen2 2pm. thank you! 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
u20p17 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 (edited) it‘s a pity that nobody from the shelly team responses to my question. up to now it seems for me that the only reason why the new feature is only available for gen3 devices is to sell more new devices… 😞 Edited September 19 by u20p17 Quote Translate Revert translation? Most of the team was at the IFA event during the time of your question was asked. The Gen2 will not have this feature from what I know it will only be available for the wave and 2PM gen 3. Hardware and firmware give the 2 PM gen 3 the capability to have a tilt feature Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish

Somewhere I read that it has to less memory, but i think that lot of users would choose this feature, even if they loose another one (if shelly would need to save some space)… Quote Translate Revert translation? I really hope they change their mind as in my opinion it’s just a software thing… what hardware difference should limit it?! Quote Translate Revert translation? Thotto Posted September 24 Posted September 24 The memory… do you really believe that? There are always possibilities to solve it. It’s just to force us to buy the Gen 3 - and I will definitely not. 1 Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Heinz Posted September 25 Posted September 25 There is a reason it got released with the Gen 3 if it comes with Gen 2 only time will tell lets wait for the devs to do what they need to and then will know the definitive reason. For now, there is at least the option for the tilt function that was not available before Quote Translate Revert translation? JohnyJack Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Hello, I bought the 2pm gen3 devices because of that tilt position control feature but I found out, it cant be controlled via wall switch. Or better to say, it can be controlled via the wall switch but only in steps! What a disappointmentr! You cant do precise controll of slat position. @Heinz Do you know if there is a plan to implement slat position controll the same way like it was done for qubino devices? (which is much better) Thanks! Quote Translate Revert translation? English (American) Finnish French German Italian Portuguese (European) Spanish
Heinz Posted November 20 Posted November 20 what version of the firmware are you currently running on the device as when i used it on the demo i found it to be qutie good. could you add more details on the issue you are facing to then provide the feed back to the team Quote Translate Revert translation?
