Hi,

I'm getting started with Shelly devices. I bought a Plus Plug S and the H&T Gen3.

I noticed that the Plus Plug S responds to pings, and presents a nice web UI via HTTP on port 80.

The H&T Gen3 does not seem to do either by default. Is there any way to enable this?

I would like to monitor the device health using my own monitoring system, and to poll periodically for temperature to send to my own metrics system.

So the Shelly plug S has a direct power source that then always has power and can allow the device to stay online and active thus the Pings with no issue. The H&T Gen3 runs on battery so hanging the device to remain online continuously would kill the life span of the device. There is a option to have it stay online when you plug it into a power source via the USB C port. 


if you looking for continuous online monitoring I would go for the Shelly Add-on and then attach the correct sensor to the device. Other wise perhaps the Wall display

Auch an einer dauerhaften Stromquelle über USB-C-Anschluss bleibt ein H&T Gen3 nicht per HTTP erreichbar. Das Problem besteht weiterhin, daß das Gerät einschläft. Wie kann man den Tiefschlaf verhindern?

Das Einschlafen kann nicht verhindert werden. Es ist nötig um Messfehler durch Eigenerwärmung zu vermeiden.
