Smoke Plus does not include available firmware update in daily status update

When I wake up manually my Smoke Plus devices, they send a message which includes the available firmware update 1.3.3 (they are on 1.3.2).

But the daily status update (every 24h) does not include that there is a firmware update available. Is this by design or a bug?

According to the docs, it should check for available firmware update during the daily status wake-up.
