Connect Shelly EM with AWS IoT Core

Hello Shelly community.

At work, we are struggling to configure a Shelly EM to connect to AWS IoT Core.

Because the device doesn't support X.509 certificates, we create a custom authorizer in AWS. Before testing the device we simulated it using AWS SDK and also a generic (no AWS SDK) MQTT client, both working fine.

But the device is not able to connect, here is how we configured it (same config as simulated devices above):

  • Username: <username>?x-amz-customauthorizer-name=<name>
  • Password: ...
  • Server: a39809...iot.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com:443 (Port 443 is needed when using a custom authorizer)

Has anyone experience configuring it?

Thanks
