I’ve spent the last two days trying to get my new Shelly 1PM get 4 into Zigbee mode with no success. I am very frustrated with Shelly. After quite a bit of research I think the main issue is my firmware is very old. WiFi AP connection tells me it is 1.5.99-g4prod1. Mind you I just got this device two days ago... directly from Shelly USA!!!

Of course my first attempt was to use the AP connection to update. However it tells me there are no updates. Since I know there should be a 1.7.xx from other posts here, I click on check for updates but get the same. After I turn on the diagnostics I try again and get the log below… apparently there is a problem with “Host not found” … something with Shelly server as my internet is working just fine.

I see there is an option to update from a file so I set about looking for the latest stable firmware version to manually download. After Several HOURS I find that apparently this is not possible. So why the option to even “Update from file?”

… my Yolink devices were dead simple to connect. Can’t overstate my disappointment with Shelly. That’s two days of my life I won’t get back.

Is there anyone who can tell me how to fix the issue? I’m at the end of my rope and about to just return the devices and give up.

I've installed a 1pm mini Gen4 and am unable to connect it to my zigbee network. The installation instructions are a bit sparse, but I've followed them in numerous combinations. I've been able to place the device in access point mode and connect to the web interface, but that gives me no clue as to why I can't seem to discover the device in home assistant via the zigbee network. The network signal strength should be good and I even installed another repeater to ensure proper signal. I've held the button for 5s and get the flash supposedly placing it in zigbee mode (although there is nothing that seems to indicate that I actually made it. Next hit the button 5 times (fast) to place it in pairing mode. Not being able to find the device, hit the button a further 3 times (fast). Still no joy.

Any suggestions? There really isn't any debug info on Shelly's site for this device.

	Hello,

I actually wanted to stop using Wi-Fi on my Shelly 1PM Gen4 and switch completely to Zigbee. Unfortunately, it seems that re-enabling or disabling Wi-Fi via Zigbee is only partially possible (it works via Zigbee2MQTT, but not via ZHA, which is what I am using).

This essentially means I would need to keep both connections active just to be able to perform updates. Having two networks running instead of one—and consuming energy for both—kind of defeats the purpose.

I was wondering if it’s possible to toggle the Wi-Fi connection on and off using a time-based script? My idea is to automatically enable Wi-Fi on the 1st of every month for potential updates and then disable it again. Has anyone tried this before? Thanks!

est-il possible d'avoir un suivi de consommation avec un 1PM Gen4 connecté sur un radiateur avec fil pilote et qui est utilisé uniquement en mode confort/Eco. Hello,

	I have connected a new Shelly 1PM Gen4 to home assitant Zigbee2MQTT.
(I had to get it close to my main HA Zigbee antena to do this)

But when I put it at its final location (which is closer to another zigbee node) I get failed interrogation.

I can still switch it on or off but I do not get any values for voltage or other sensors.

	Hi everyone,
I’m trying to find a Shelly solution to control and monitor my oven, but running into compatibility questions. Hoping someone can help clarify.
My setup:
∙ Oven: 3840W / 240V / 16A
∙ Outlet: NEMA 6-20 (two hots + ground, no neutral)
∙ Breaker: 2-pole 20A
∙ Cable: 12/2 (black and white both hot, repurposed from old GFCI circuit)

My questions:
1. Can the Shelly 1PM Gen4 be powered from 240V across the two hot legs (L1 and L2) without a neutral? The specs show it needs L and N terminals.

2. If neutral is required, is there an alternative Shelly product that can switch and meter a 16A/240V load without neutral?

3. I have a standard US residential breaker panel — no DIN rails. The Shelly Pro series requires DIN rail mounting. Is there a solution for 240V loads that fits in a standard US electrical box or at the outlet location?
I’d like to stay in the Shelly ecosystem if possible. Any guidance appreciated!
Thanks

I love the shelly products. So here is just a simple thought the make the 1PM Mini Gen4 even more convinient to use:

Would't it be possiple to just add the same 5-pin terminal as in the Shelly 1 mini Gen3? With this, there could be two N-terminals on the right hand side, allowing to loop through the neutral without the need of an additional external clamp.

I’m using several 1PM Gen4 and 2PM Gen4 devices, and they all show the same issue. They’re set to Zigbee mode and connected through Z2M. Sometimes when I toggle them on/off from the mobile app, there’s a delay of 2–3 seconds before they react. After that initial lag, they respond instantly to the next commands. Additionally, if I toggle them on and off repeatedly within a short period, the state sometimes gets stuck for a few seconds before correcting itself. When I use the Shelly app to toggle them rapidly, the issue doesn’t occur — they respond immediately every time.

All devices are on the latest firmware 1.7.1

I would like to use the shelly in zigbee state controlled by Home Assistant (HA).

I have the new shelly updated/ converted to zigbee FW. Allmost default settings, only IP address etc to connect to ZHA on HA.

My dedicated server HA is updated to the latest version, also all add-ons etc.

What I see is that when I switch on the shelly, it goes off after 11-20s.
Together with google.gemini the cause has be found. HA is requesting same data like state, power, voltage, watts and other data. The shelly does not respond to the request.
This results into that HA state of the shelly is inaccessible and let the shelly go off again.

On advice from gemini, i tried to change some parts in a cluster to overcome temporary the issue. But the shelly is not accepting any change in the power cluster.

The only resolution at the moment is to revert back to wifi.

	Hi,

I read at several places that the 1PM Gen4 can't have both Zigbee and BT proxy enabled at the same time. Is this a software problem and will this be fixed or is this intentional and will this stay this way? I would prefer not to have to connect it to WIFI to support both. I'd be interested to buy these Shelly's if they support both. Thanks in advance.

	Hello,

I'm having issues getting my shelly working with a sliding gate.

The gate is a TDA DKC301DC, manual is attached - page 9 is the wiring diagram.

The Shelly is wired to the 240v power supply, fires a up, is visible in the app and I can hear the relay clicking on and off when controlled in the app, but it doesn't actually control the gate.

For the output, I've tried "o" to keypad/osc and "sw" to com, and vice versa. I've tried changing the switch setting to detached, momentary etc, and changed the auto off timer to 1s, but nothing is working to get the gate moving.

	Anyone have any ideas??

	Thanks

Hello, I wanted to measure the power consumption of my Hue lamp because I want to create a Power Library entry for the powercalc integration in Home Assistant. However, I'm having a problem: when the lamp is dimmed, no consumption is displayed. Apparently, consumption below 1 watt isn't shown. Does anyone know if there's a minimum load below which consumption is measured? I couldn't find anything about this in the documentation.

I assumed the multiple L connections were because the 3 of them were connections to a single bus. And they appear to work that way. Unless you have an RCD.

I have two lights in my office. Both are switched in the same switch box. The outside lights have LiFX bulbs, so that just says on. The inside lights are LED frisbee things. And I wanted to have them controllable.
The switch box daisy chains the incoming live from one switch to another. And taking the info about don't connect multiple wires to 1 connector, I connected the inbound feed to 1 L. And the outbound feed to the second physical switch to another L. (And then the 3rd L to the local switch for the lights I was controlling).

It initially worked fine... Then a couple of hours later the RCD tripped. That reset, until later that evening. When it tripped again. And wouldn't reset. As the shelly 1PM G4 was the only thing done to the wiring that had been stable I disconnected it... All stable again. Ignoring the instructions I wired the Live feed in & out on the same connector. All stable again.

So why the extras? Using 1 for the physical switch works OK. But using the 3rd (Middle connector) for Live out to a second lighting circuit doesn't work. That can be worked about with an external connector like a Wago, but that laves the question, why 3 L connections?

	Hi,

A friend has a boiler with 2 phases, drawing power from the 2 phases only, I know it's unusual!

The boiler is a De Dietrich SR 301, installed in Switzerland.

The manual explains how to connect power, Phase L1 and L2 and both neutral on the same pin.

	See attached image.

I try to connect 2x Shelly Gen 4 1PM, one on each phase but no power monitoring available, why ?

I know it's not communicating to have a boiler using 2x phases only, but need help to monitor power.

	Thanks in advance.
Regards,

	Nicolas

Noticed an odd behavior with a gen 4 device in the Shelly App.

When I turn the switch (external or software switch on) then the little power consumption display (aka the “small parameter widget”) goes away.
This doesn’t happen when I switch Gen3 devices on

Any ideas what it might be?

	thanks

I have a 240v pool pump that i am trying to wire a shelly 1pm gen 4 with. I have it connected to a contactor that is also 240v and to the shelly, but I don't have voltage when i touch L and N with a multimeter. I have a wiring diagram that I found on a previous form, but my pictures wont post here. The only difference that I have seen is my breaker is a double pole with a GFCI and the other breaker is single with no GFCI. Any help would be appreciated
